Responsibilities
- Inspect wire harness assemblies for visual defects, proper routing, and connector integrity
- Perform continuity and electrical testing on wire harness circuits
- Repair crimps, solder joints, and damaged wires to specification
- Document all inspection and repair activities with photos and detailed reports
- Verify that all work meets IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards and customer specs
- Collaborate with quality engineers on root cause analysis of recurring defects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience with wire harness assembly, inspection, or repair
- Proficiency with soldering, crimping, and wire termination techniques
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) certification
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, or medical device industries
- Familiarity with J-STD-001 soldering standards
