Rolling out new products can be tough. Typically, there are contractually required processes and testing needed to achieve product quality standards. Without proper supplier quality engineering services, manufacturers may not be prepared for the stringent quality assurance documentation the industry requires, nor do they have the resources required to monitor new products throughout the supply chain and at the point of use.
In response to this, Quality Liaison Services was founded in 2004 to provide quality engineering and inspection services to help engineering departments from the onset of new products through their lifecycles.
Quality Engineering Inspection Solutions
Once a supplier wins a contract to provide a given part for an OEM, that supplier must undergo the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) as part of APQP. While a supplier may be more than capable of manufacturing the components specified in the contract, the company may be unprepared for the nature of PPAP and the documentation required under industry standards.
QLS has highly experienced engineers who can provide guidance through our quality engineering and assurance services. With decades of expertise working with OEMs and suppliers, we have helped numerous companies get past the hurdles involved in the AIAG onboarding process. We offer solutions that guide you through the process from beginning to end, helping you provide the documentation required to fully comply with industry standards.
As part of our supplier quality engineering services, QLS has personnel on-site at the OEM facility. We will inspect the containers as they arrive and monitor for issues as the product is being used. There is no substitute for having an advocate for your product where it is being used.
Existing suppliers have also found QLS to be an invaluable partner in quality engineering inspection and assurance services. When new components consistently arrive from the factory with cosmetic or functional damage, there can be no shortage of confusion on where and why the damage occurred.
- QLS associates in the field are our people, not contractors. While other companies punt to contractors who simply sort defective parts, we help our clients track down the failures in their manufacturing and logistics processes.
- QLS has people on hand with both the supplier and the OEM. With both ends covered, we have much more visibility regarding the overall process.
- As an independent third party, we can exercise high levels of objectivity in analyzing the end-to-end processes with all parties involved to understand how and why quality breakdowns are occurring.
Achieve outstanding quality in all aspects of your engineering, manufacturing, and logistics operations.
